Problem: High Level of TSS, Turbidity, Colour and Organic Matter.
Solution: Coagulation/Settling, MMF, UF, Disinfection.
Background:
The Clients requirement was to use the Lake Huma water supply as drinking water for the caravan park.
PWS designed and installed a packaged system to comply with the client’s requirements and meet the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines.
The Challenge:
To design, manufacture and install a 7,000 L/Hr UF Membrane system, including suitable pretreatment and disinfection.
The Solution:
PWS designed, manufactured, installed and commissioned the water treatment plant.
Water is pumped from the Lake Huma to a holding tank while dosing coagulant. After sufficient contact time water is then pumped through the Multi-Media Filters, 1micron Cartridge filters and the Ultra-Filtration systems and finally disinfected with chlorine.
The filtered water is then stored in drinking water tanks for use.
The Results:
The water treatment plant delivers filtered water that complies or exceed the Australian Drinking Water guidelines.
